China Law Blog

The other thing companies do is decide that however their competitor went into a country will be how they will go into the country. With respect to China, this means if their competitor went in as a joint venture or through Hong Kong, well dammit, that's how they will do it also. The fact that the competitor had to do those things because the laws were very different five years ago is irrelevant. It's crazy.
